Deaf Kids Connect: Social Meet-Up for d/Deaf Children in Worthing

Deaf Kids Connect is an exciting new social group for d/Deaf children aged 0-12 and their families in Sussex. This inclusive group welcomes children with any level of hearing loss, whether temporary or permanent, including those who are hard of hearing, have glue ear, tinnitus, or difficulty accessing sound. Siblings, parents, and carers are also encouraged to join, creating a supportive space where children can connect, play, and build friendships.

The first meet-up will take place on Saturday 29th March 2025, from 2pm to 4pm, at West Tarring Young Peoples Hub, 9B High Street, Tarring, Worthing, BN14 7NN. The session will be packed with fun activities, including toys, games, puzzles, arts and crafts, and refreshments. It’s an opportunity for children to communicate in a way that suits them—whether through sign language, lip reading, speech, or gestures—while meeting others who share their experiences.

Parents and carers can also benefit from this supportive network, sharing insights and resources with others on a similar journey.
