A27 Closed Overnight Near Worthing After Serious Collision
A section of the A27 near Worthing was closed overnight following a serious collision on October 30, requiring an air ambulance and full emergency response.
The crash, which happened on Wednesday evening, led to the closure of the A27 between the A280 at Clapham and the A24 near Worthing.
National Highways South-East reported the closure on social media advising that emergency services were present on the scene By 4:42am on October 31, National Highways confirmed that the A27 had reopened in both directions.
The cause of the collision and any injuries have yet to be officially detailed, but concerns are being raised about the safety of that stretch of the A27 stretch near Clapham following a number of recent incidents,including a fatal motorbike crash.
