A27 Eastbound Closure Scheduled for Upcoming Weekend

The A27 will be temporarily closed eastbound from the Lancing Manor roundabout to Shoreham Airport starting from 9pm this Friday until 6am on Monday.

The closure is planned to allow the completion of a new roundabout at New Monks Farm. Motorists will be directed to follow a designated diversion route via the A27, A24, and A283 to avoid the closed section.

Access to the airport and for residents within the closed section will still be maintained throughout the weekend.

The specified works involve installing drainage systems, laying ducting across the carriageway, and applying the final road surface, which are critical for the project’s completion scheduled for June 2024.

This is the penultimate closure scheduled for the project, with only one more planned next month from June 7 until June 10. National Highways South East urges motorists to plan their journeys in advance and follow the posted diversion signs.
