A27 Shoreham Closure Scheduled for This Weekend

The A27 eastbound carriageway between Lancing and Shoreham will be closed this weekend to complete roundabout construction near the new Monks Farm housing development.

The closure will commence at 9pm on Friday and is scheduled to end at 6am on Monday morning, according to National Highways.

During the closure, a diversion will direct eastbound traffic via the A27, A24, and A283. The westbound carriageway will remain open. Past closures have caused significant delays, with some residents experiencing hours-long traffic on the A259, which is not an official diversion route. National Highways has indicated that this is the final full weekend closure for this section of the A27.

Local commuters and Stagecoach 700 bus services along the seafront are advised to plan alternative routes to avoid heavy traffic. This closure aims to finalise the roundabout construction, potentially easing future traffic flow in the area.
