Adur and Worthing Residents Targeted by Fake Parking Ticket Scam

Residents in Adur and Worthing are being warned about a fake parking ticket scam. Reports have emerged of text messages claiming to be from the local council, issuing fraudulent parking fines.

Adur and Worthing Councils have clarified that genuine parking fines will always be issued physically on vehicles before any communication is sent through official channels.

The councils urge recipients of such messages not to engage and to report the scam to Action Fraud. Residents are also asked to inform family and friends to avoid falling victim to the scam.
