Child Hospitalised After Dog Attack in Durrington

A six-year-old girl was taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog in Durrington. The incident occurred on Strand Parade, The Boulevard, between 4 and 4:30 pm on October 3, while the girl was walking with her grandmother.
The dog, identified as a Japanese Akita, was seized by police, and the 53-year-old owner was arrested on suspicion of having a dangerously out-of-control dog.
Police are appealing for witnesses and footage of the incident, urging people to report it via 101, quoting reference number 965 of 03/10.
