Colonnade House Secures Additional Funding to Support Worthing’s Creative Hub

Colonnade House in Worthing has secured additional funding to support its operations throughout 2025, allowing time to secure further financial backing for the town’s creative hub.

The Adur & Worthing Trust, which manages the gallery and studio space, has committed to providing the necessary funds to keep the venue running while it continues to bid for external support.

The funding announcement follows a public consultation that engaged more than 250 people through in-person events, workshops, and an online survey. The consultation, which began in January, aimed to gather insights from artists, creatives, businesses, and community organisations on the challenges facing Colonnade House and its future development. Over 120 participants have already contributed to the survey, with more expected before the deadline on 28th February 2025.

Colonnade House continues to host exhibitions and events, including a queer photography portraiture exhibition for LGBTQ History Month. The team remains committed to ensuring the hub remains a vital space for emerging artists and the local creative community, with ongoing efforts to secure long-term funding.
