Residents in the New Road area of Durrington have reported several sightings of a deer, prompting local animal charity WADARS to issue advice.
“Although it may seem unusual to encounter a deer in an urban area, it is not entirely uncommon”, a WADARS spokesperson said. “Allowing the deer to continue on its own is considered the least risky scenario for the animal.”
Residents are encouraged not to approach the deer as this could cause undue stress, and are invited to contact WADARS at 01903 247111 for further guidance and assistance.
