Elderly Man Hospitalised After Serious Attack in Worthing
An elderly man remains in hospital after a serious attack near Worthing town centre.
The incident occurred last Thursday at around 10.30am at the junction of Chapel Road and Liverpool Road in Worthing. The victim, a man in his 70s, suffered a serious injury and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment, where he continues to receive care.
Sussex Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to come forward. A police spokesperson stated, “We are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 70s reported being assaulted at the junction of Chapel Road and Liverpool Road in Worthing on Wednesday, May 23 at around 10.30am. The victim sustained a serious injury and remains in hospital.”
Authorities are urging anyone with information, dash cam footage, or CCTV from the area during the time of the incident to contact them online or by calling 101, quoting reference 394 of 23/05. Anonymous reports can also be made via Crimestoppers.
