Update - West Worthing Railway Crossing Reopens Following Trespasser Incident

West Worthing railway crossing has reopened following an incident involving a trespasser on the line, which required police and ambulance attendance.

Southern Rail confirmed that the temporary disruption at the West Worthing crossing on South Street in Tarring was due to a trespasser. Emergency services were called to ensure the individual’s safety, with police and ambulance personnel responding to the scene to remove the trespasser from the railway line.

The junction between South Street and Tarring Road was initially blocked, and traffic was diverted as emergency services managed the situation. Authorities have since cleared the area, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
