Emergency Services Respond to House Fire in Durrington

Emergency services were called to a house fire in Durrington on the afternoon of Wednesday, 18th September 2024. Fire crews responded swiftly to the incident on Shelby Road, where the fire had spread from an outbuilding to the property.
At 4:21pm, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service dispatched three fire engines from Worthing and one from East Preston to tackle the blaze. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, used hose reels, jets, and thermal imaging cameras to bring the fire under control.
No casualties were reported, and the fire was confirmed to have started accidentally. Crews remained on the scene until 5:40pm, ensuring the fire was fully extinguished before leaving.
