Final A27 Weekend Closure Near Shoreham Scheduled for June

The fourth and final full weekend closure of the A27 eastbound carriageway between the Manor roundabout in Lancing and Shoreham has been confirmed.

The road will be shut from 9pm on June 7 until 6am on June 10 to allow highway teams to complete the new roundabout leading to the New Monks Farm development.

Motorists will be diverted via the A24 and A283 during the closure. A spokesman for National Highways confirmed that local access will be maintained to the airport and for residents with direct access off the eastbound A27 within the closure zone. Additionally, there will be regular overnight lane closures on both sides of the A27 over the coming months.

This closure marks the fourth such event this year, following three full weekend closures in April and May. The ongoing work is expected to be completed next month, with the new infrastructure aimed at improving traffic flow and access to the new development.
