Two dogs were rescued from a house fire in Ferring, thanks to the swift actions of firefighters. Crews worked to control the blaze and provided oxygen therapy to save the animals.

The fire broke out at a property on Glenbarrie Way, Ferring, on January 9th, prompting West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to deploy four fire engines to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found smoke issuing from a bedroom window and quickly extinguished the fire using high-pressure hose reels. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued two dogs from the property and administered oxygen therapy.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the alarm was raised at 11:16 am. Fire crews remained at the scene to ensure safety, using thermal imaging equipment to check for hotspots. The operation concluded with firefighters leaving the property at 1:40 pm after damping down the area.

The cause of the fire has not been disclosed, but the rescue highlights the dedication of emergency services in ensuring both human and animal safety. No injuries to residents were reported.
