Firefighters Tackle Late-Night Blaze at Worthing Business

Firefighters were called to a late-night fire at the Bowers & Wilkins manufacturing site in Worthing on Monday night, with no injuries reported.

The incident occurred on Dale Road at 10:35pm, prompting a swift response from the West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service. Fire crews from Worthing and Lancing arrived at the scene to tackle a fire that had started in the ducting system of the building. The facility, which is known for producing audio-visual equipment, was fully evacuated prior to their arrival.

According to a fire service spokesperson, firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using reels and fog nails. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident, and the swift evacuation ensured the safety of all staff on-site.

Fire crews returned to the site on Tuesday morning for a follow-up inspection to ensure the building was safe. The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed, and investigations may follow to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
