A former Lancing College teacher has been charged with multiple child sex offences.

Nick Baldock, 46, who previously taught at the West Sussex-based Lancing College, is facing charges including one count of sexual assault, two counts of publishing an obscene article, and three counts of knowingly disclosing personal data without consent. The charges involve six victims who were pupils at the college. Additionally, Baldock is charged with three counts of making indecent photographs of a child, which are unrelated to the college’s pupils.

The alleged offences occurred between August 2021 and December 2022. Baldock, who was arrested in December 2022, is no longer employed at the college or living in the local area. He has been released on conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on 13 August 2024. Anyone with relevant information is being urged to contact the police.
