Lancing Residents Left Without Phone Signal for Ten Days Due to Mast Fault

Residents in Lancing have been left without phone signal for more than ten days due to a fault with a phone mast in the area. The issue, reportedly caused by adverse weather conditions, has impacted numerous households since New Year’s Eve.

Local resident Jackie Neilings highlighted the difficulties caused by the outage, particularly as she is in the process of selling a house and relies on phone calls for communication. “I couldn’t even phone Vodafone because I can’t make phone calls,” she told the Argus, adding that many residents have had to leave Lancing to make essential calls.

The phone mast, located in the Asda car park and owned by Virgin Media O2, remains the focus of repair efforts. Vodafone and O2 have apologised to customers, citing adverse weather as the cause of the fault. Engineers are working to restore services, but customers remain frustrated.
