Man Arrested After Hammer Attack in Southwick

A man has been arrested following an incident in Southwick where he drove towards three men while wielding a hammer. The altercation took place on September 24 in The Twitten between 6.30pm and 9pm.

The man was later assaulted by the three men, who then fled the scene. A 23-year-old man from Lancing was arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm and possession of a weapon. He has since been released on bail while further enquiries are made.

Sussex Police are seeking to speak with the three men involved, urging anyone with information or witnesses to come forward. They are asked to contact the police quoting serial 1517 of 24/09.
