Man Arrested After Serious Fight at Molotov Bar in Worthing

A Worthing man has been arrested following a violent altercation at Molotov Bar, which resulted in one individual suffering a serious head injury.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, August 4, on Chatsworth Road in Worthing.

According to Sussex Police, the fight involved at least four men and took place between the bar and dancefloor area at around 1:50 AM. One man sustained a severe cut to his head and was transported to the hospital, where he was treated and later discharged. Another man received minor injuries but did not require hospitalisation.

A 21-year-old man from Worthing was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries. Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to contact them quoting serial 154 of 04/08.
