Motorcyclist Dies Following A27 Collision
A 20-year-old motorcyclist has tragically died following a collision on the A27 near Worthing. The incident involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle and a white Ford Transit Connect van.
The motorcyclist, identified as Joshua Southgate from Broadwater, was seriously injured in the crash, which occurred on the westbound A27 at Clapham on Monday, 23 September, around 5:17pm. Despite being airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries, Southgate passed away two days later, on 25 September.
The van driver, a 62-year-old man from Waterlooville, Hampshire, was not injured. Sussex Police closed the road for several hours to conduct recovery operations and forensic examinations. Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward and assist the investigation.
