New 3G Football Pitch Opens at Davison CE High School
Davison CE High School for Girls in Worthing has unveiled a new 3G football pitch, providing students with a modern facility for year-round play.
The opening ceremony was a significant event for the school, with Dani Bowman, now Albion Under-19s head coach, cutting the ribbon alongside three Under-19 players. Davison CE High School, which has a long-standing partnership with the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation, aims to boost football participation among its 1,300 pupils. The school hopes that the new pitch will help nurture future talent.
BHAFC Foundation coach Nathan Casselton praised the development, noting the increase in girls’ football participation across Sussex, spurred by the success of the Lionesses. With the new pitch in place, Davison’s pupils will now benefit from uninterrupted sports opportunities, even during inclement weather, replacing the school’s old grass pitch prone to flooding.
