New Political Group Formed by Three Worthing Councillors

Following the recent local elections in Worthing, three councillors have established a new political group on the Worthing Borough Council.

Councillors Carl Walker (Selden), Hilary Schan (Tarring), and Margaret Howard (Broadwater) announced their departure from the Labour Party to create the Worthing Community Independents.

The newly formed group will sit in opposition at council meetings.This change brings the council’s composition to 23 Labour members, nine Conservatives, three Worthing Community Independents, and two Greens.
