New Well-being Garden Oasis Opens at Worthing Hospital
A serene garden has been unveiled at Worthing Hospital, aimed at providing a tranquil space for relaxation and wellbeing enhancement for patients, staff, and visitors.
The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust transformed an unused area near the North Wing into a peaceful oasis, complete with seating and an art mural, thanks to funding from the Friends of Worthing Hospitals and the trust’s charity.
The project, which took six months to complete, is part of the hospital’s efforts to improve the general wellbeing of its community. It offers a much-needed respite from the bustling hospital environment, with an emphasis on the therapeutic benefits of being in nature. The garden’s design and execution were led by Luc Harvengt of Luc Gardens, in collaboration with the hospital and local businesses.
