Over 11kg of Litter Collected During Worthing Beach Clean

Volunteers collected over 11kg of litter from Worthing Beach during a community event organised by Worthing Borough Council. The litter pick took place last Friday and saw dozens of children and adults participate.

A spokesman for Worthing Borough Council expressed gratitude to the volunteers, stating, “Huge thanks to everyone who kindly gave some of their time to help clean our wonderful coastline last week.”

The event focused on the areas of the beach on either side of Worthing Pier and resulted in the collection of 11.5kg of rubbish.

The next beach clean event is scheduled for July 25. Participants can collect litter-picking equipment and bags from the Coastal Office on the seafront.
