Plans For Durrington Flats Given Green Light

Worthing Borough Council has approved the construction of 78 flats on the former Columbia House car park site in Romany Road, Durrington.

The new development will feature solar panels, an environmentally-friendly air source heat pump system, communal gardens, and a children’s play area.

While the majority of the flats will be one-bedroom units, the project will also include eight two-bedroom and two three-bedroom flats.

As part of the council’s commitment to environmental sustainability, developers have also been instructed to plant replacement trees along the roadside, replacing ageing conifers.
