Police Increase Shoreham Patrols to Tackle Anti-Social Driving

Police in Shoreham are stepping up patrols in response to concerns about anti-social driving and vandalism in the area, including incidents near Shoreham Fort and Widewater Lagoon.
Adur and Worthing Police reported that two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) were on foot patrol in Shoreham on Sunday, 30 March. They engaged with residents and local businesses to discuss safety concerns and noted several locations affected by disruptive behaviour.
Graffiti was discovered around the Pond Lane Car Park, and police confirmed they are working with the local council to arrange its removal. In addition, Shoreham Fort and Widewater Lagoon were highlighted as hotspots for anti-social driving, prompting a planned increase in patrols in those areas.
With the Easter holidays approaching, police said they will be promoting joint partnership initiatives throughout Shoreham. These include upcoming community pop-up events intended to improve safety and engagement across the town.
