Poor Weather Forces Cancellation of Popular Children's Event in Worthing

Bounceworld, the popular inflatable castle event held at Field Place Gardens, has been cancelled for the remainder of the week due to unfavourable weather conditions.

Organisers made the decision in response to forecasts predicting patchy rain and strong winds for Worthing over the coming days.

Event organiser Dave Hunt apologised for the disappointment caused by the cancellation, emphasising that the safety of attendees was the primary concern. He explained that with the expected wind speeds, it would be unsafe to operate the inflatables, making it necessary to prioritise safety over continuing the event as planned.

“It is against all safety procedures to open any inflatables with the wind speed forecast,” Hunt told Radio Worthing. He emphasised that the decision was not made lightly, but safety must come first.

Bounceworld is expected to return during the October half term, with plans for an indoor event.
