Power Cut Leaves Hundreds of Lancing Homes Without Electricity

Hundreds of homes in Lancing were left without electricity overnight due to a power cut caused by an underground cable fault.

The outage initially affected 4,162 properties in the south of the village, with 344 homes still without power in the early hours of the morning.

UK Power Networks confirmed the issue was first reported at 03:20 GMT, and engineers were working to identify and repair the fault. Specialist teams were also remotely diverting electricity to restore power where possible.

The company estimated that power would be fully restored by 08:00 GMT. Residents affected by the outage were advised to check the UK Power Networks website for updates and guidance on dealing with power disruptions.
