Prolific Shoplifter Jailed for String of Thefts in Worthing

A serial shoplifter in Worthing has been sentenced to 18 weeks in prison after admitting to multiple thefts.
Karly Everson, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to 14 counts of shoplifting at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 29 April. Between 11 March and 15 April, Everson stole more than £1,000 worth of stock from various stores including Co-op, Tesco Express, B&M, and Superdrug in Worthing. She was arrested and charged on 18 April.
In addition to her prison sentence, Everson received a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), prohibiting her from entering certain stores in Worthing, as well as any Tesco in West Sussex or Co-op in Sussex.
