Public Consultation Opens on Sussex Mayoral Devolution Plans

Residents and businesses in Worthing are invited to participate in a public consultation on plans to establish a mayoral combined authority for the region. The consultation, launched by the government, will run until April 13.

The devolution initiative is part of the government’s wider Devolution Priority Programme, which includes Sussex among six regions fast-tracked for mayoral governance, with elections expected in May 2026.
