The Royal Navy bomb disposal team has successfully detonated a grenade at the Willowbrook Road recycling centre in Worthing.

Sussex Police received a report of a suspected hand grenade at the recycling on May 16.

The incident prompted the establishment of a 100-meter cordon and the evacuation of nearby businesses.
