Seven Stranded on Boat in Littlehampton Rescued by RNLI
Seven people stranded on a boat near Littlehampton were rescued by RNLI volunteers after experiencing technical issues.
On Thursday evening, RNLI crews from Littlehampton were dispatched to aid a vessel reported to be one mile west of Littlehampton Harbour. The boat, which had seven people on board, encountered technical difficulties, prompting a rescue operation. RNLI volunteers utilised their B-Class lifeboat, Renee Sherman, to safely bring the passengers and vessel back to shore without any reported injuries.
A spokesman for Littlehampton RNLI expressed gratitude for the public’s support, highlighting the crucial role of donations and volunteers in the charity’s life-saving operations. The RNLI, which recently celebrated its 200th anniversary, continues to rely on public contributions to maintain its efforts in maritime rescue.
