Shoreham RNLI Seeks Volunteer Lifeboat Crew

Shoreham RNLI is holding a recruitment open day on Sunday, 19 January, inviting locals to learn more about becoming a volunteer lifeboat crew member. The event will run from 10am to 12 noon at Shoreham lifeboat station.

The open day will feature a tour of the station, including an opportunity to explore the RNLI’s state-of-the-art all-weather lifeboat. A presentation will follow, outlining the training pathways for new recruits. Attendees will also have a chance to speak informally with the lifeboat crew while enjoying tea and coffee.

Volunteers need no prior experience but must be aged 18 or older and live within 10 minutes of the station. The event requires no booking, and visitors are welcome to drop in any time before midday if they cannot make the 10am start.
