Shoreham Welcomes New Sustainable Council Homes

Shoreham | May 25, 2024

Adur & Worthing Councils have completed the construction of five new council homes in Shoreham.

The development consists of four two-bedroom houses and a one-bedroom accessible bungalow, built on the site of former garages off Wilmot Road.

These new homes are designed to be energy-efficient, featuring air source heat pumps, gardens, water butts, electric vehicle charging points, and additional greenery to reduce environmental impact.

The new development, named Wilds Row after the 19th-century architect Amon Henry Wilds, aims to address the local housing shortage. Currently, nearly 1,000 households are on Adur’s housing waiting list, with around 130 in temporary accommodation.
