Shoreham Woman and Son Injured in Car Crash
A Shoreham mother and her 12-year-old son were injured when their car flipped upside down in Southwick Street.
Kerrie Bradshaw, 46, said she tried to swerve to go around the pothole but her back tyre clipped it, resulting in her Volkswagen Golf rolling in the air before landing and hitting a stationary car.
After the crash, both Kerrie and Alfie experienced dizziness and head pain, requiring hospital observation before being discharged. Kerrie’s partner,
Kerry’s partner Paul Davies later returned to the scene to gather CCTV footage, noting the pothole had been filled by West Sussex County Council shortly after the accident.
Local residents have expressed concerns over the condition of Southwick Street, citing ongoing issues with potholes causing vehicle damage. Despite the recent repair, calls for more comprehensive road maintenance continue to ensure the safety of drivers.
