Southwick Theatre Fundraiser Boosts Refurbishment Efforts with £1,500 Donation

A murder mystery event at Southwick Community Centre has raised £1,500 to support ongoing refurbishment efforts for the Barn Theatre.

The funds will contribute to a £35,000 appeal aimed at improving the venue, which includes new seating, redecoration, and stage updates.

Held in September by the Southwick Players, the evening embraced a 1900 Parisian theme, with guests attending in period costumes. The event featured a three-course meal and involved the efforts of both staff and volunteers, including a front-of-house team and kitchen helpers.

While the event raised significant funds, the theatre still requires an additional £15,000 to reach its refurbishment target. The Southwick Players continue their fundraising efforts to meet this goal, with future events planned to support the cause.
