The Southwick Tunnel has reopened after being closed due to a collision involving three vehicles on the A27 westbound. National Highways confirmed the incident on Sunday evening, with reports of infrastructure damage at the scene.

National Highways: South-East first reported the crash at 9.14pm on Sunday, March 16, stating that the A27 westbound Southwick Tunnel was closed. Minutes later, at 9.22pm, they confirmed that the incident involved three vehicles and had resulted in infrastructure damage.

By 10pm, authorities announced that the tunnel had reopened between the A293 and A270, with traffic delays beginning to ease. Motorists in the area were advised to drive with caution as congestion cleared.
