Sussex Police Disperse Teenagers After Shoreham Beach Fight
Sussex Police intervened to disperse a large group of teenagers involved in a fight near Shoreham Beach on Friday evening.
The group was reported to have moved from the beach towards the town centre, raising concerns about potential violence and anti-social behaviour.
According to Sussex Police, officers responded to reports of a fight involving a significant number of youths on Beach Green at around 8pm. The group then proceeded over the Adur Ferry Bridge towards Shoreham town centre.
To mitigate further incidents, police implemented a 12-hour section 34 dispersal order covering areas from Old Salts Farm Road, Lancing, to Kingston Lane, Shoreham.
An eyewitness described the scene as a “massive crowd of kids” near Beach Green, noting the group’s movement towards the town centre. The dispersal order successfully prevented further violence and anti-social behaviour, ensuring public safety in the area.
