Thieves Target Work Vans in West Sussex
Thieves have targeted work vans overnight in Pulborough, Storrington, and Steyning, prompting a police appeal for information.
Sussex Police have confirmed they are responding to a spate of thefts from vehicles in the West Sussex towns. Officers reported that tools and other valuable items were taken from work vans.
Police have increased patrols in affected areas to deter further crimes and are working with the South East Region Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU). They advise vehicle owners not to store valuables in their vans and to ensure CCTV systems are operational. Flyers can also be displayed to indicate that no valuables are inside.
The public is urged to report incidents or provide any evidence, such as CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage, to Sussex Police. Reports can be made online or by calling 01273 470101, quoting Operation Kansas.
