Three Rescued After Boat Sinks Near Worthing
Three people were rescued from the water after their boat sank near Worthing early on Sunday morning, involving multiple rescue crews.
The emergency call was received just after 11:30 am, prompting an immediate response from HM Coastguard and the RNLI teams from Littlehampton and Shoreham.
The incident occurred approximately four miles south of Worthing. Two of the individuals were picked up by a nearby boat and transported to Brighton Marina, while the third person was rescued by another local vessel and safely brought to shore by the Shoreham lifeboat.
All individuals were reported to be safe with no severe injuries. The Coastguard and RNLI officials have not released further details about the cause of the sinking or the condition of the vessel.
