Train Delays After Trespasser Spotted on Tracks Near Worthing Station

Police were called to West Worthing station on Saturday evening (April 5) following reports of a trespasser on the railway line, resulting in delays to train services across the area.
Officers were seen conducting searches near the tracks at West Worthing station after a trespasser was reportedly spotted between Worthing and Angmering. A police car was also seen outside the station as part of the response. The incident led to train operators reducing speeds through the affected area, and some services were held temporarily.
Southern Rail confirmed the disruption via social media, stating that services were subject to delays and advising passengers to allow up to 20 minutes of additional travel time. Despite the disruption, passengers were able to continue their journeys using regular routes.
