Train Staff Attacked by Ticketless Passenger in Worthing

A member of staff was attacked by a passenger travelling without a ticket between West Worthing and Worthing railway stations.

The incident occurred when the man became aggressive towards the train employee. During the altercation, the man threw a closed can at the worker, damaging his glasses.

British Transport Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident. They are appealing to the public for information, asking anyone who recognises the man to contact them by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 459 of 9 October. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be shared via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
