Two Men Remanded After Mobile Phone Store Burglary in Worthing

Two men have been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with a burglary at a mobile phone shop in Worthing, Sussex Police have confirmed.
Officers were called to the Three store in Montague Street, Worthing, on Friday 7 March, following reports of a break-in. Police said that a quantity of stock, including mobile phones and electronic devices such as headphones, was stolen from the store room, with the value estimated in the tens of thousands of pounds.
Following an investigation involving scene of crime officers and CCTV enquiries, two suspects were identified by Police Community Support Officers. Robert May, 50, of no fixed address, and Joseph Perry, 41, of Whitebeam Road, Northbrook, Worthing, were arrested on 25 March. Both men were charged with commercial burglary and appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 26 March, where they were remanded in custody.
The defendants are scheduled to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 23 April to face the charge.
