West Durrington Residents Invited to Shape New Community Building
Residents are being invited to contribute their ideas for a new community building planned in West Durrington.
Worthing Borough Council staff will visit Tesco Extra in Fulbeck Way this week to gather feedback from locals on the activities and facilities they wish to see in the proposed community space. The initiative is part of the West Durrington housing development, which has seen significant growth since construction began in 2016.
The council highlighted that prior consultations were held in 2019, but updated input is required to ensure the plans align with current community needs. Residents unable to attend in person can provide feedback through an online survey. Plans for an adjacent community park are also progressing, with construction expected to begin in 2025.
In-person consultation sessions will take place on Wednesday, November 20, from 1pm to 5pm, and Saturday, November 23, from 9am to 1pm. The survey can be accessed via the council’s website for those who prefer to submit their views online.
