Woman sustains Minor Injury Incident with Royal Mail Van

An elderly woman sustained minor injuries in a traffic incident involving a Royal Mail van and her mobility scooter in Worthing.

The collision occurred at the junction of Broadwater Road and Langton Road around 4:15 PM yesterday, according to Sussex Police.

The woman, reported to be in her 70s, was treated at the scene for minor injuries following the crash. Emergency services, including local police and ambulance crews, responded promptly to the incident.

The accident resulted in the mobility scooter being partially trapped under the van, with visible oil leakage from the vehicle.

Broadwater Road was temporarily closed but reopened around 6:30 PM after the area was cleared and made safe.
