Worthing Beach more accessible thanks to new equipment

Worthing Borough Council has introduced new accessibility equipment, including two beach wheelchairs and an all-terrain rollator, following a community-led fundraising campaign.

The equipment, available for hire from Worthing’s coastal office, is designed to aid people with disabilities in navigating uneven surfaces.

Worthing Borough Council has safety-checked the equipment, ensuring families can enjoy the shingle seafront together, and established a booking system for free borrowing.
