Worthing Bin Lorry Fire Extinguished Without Casualties

A fire involving a bin lorry on St Matthew’s Road, Worthing, was extinguished by fire crews yesterday, with no injuries reported. The fire was determined to be accidental.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service responded to the incident at 12:33 pm on Thursday, December 5. According to a spokesperson, a fire engine from Worthing was dispatched, and crews quickly extinguished a fire involving a small amount of waste from the refuse lorry.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the road has since reopened to traffic. The fire service confirmed that the cause of the fire was accidental ignition.
