Worthing Cafe Alchemy to Close Due to Rising Costs
Alchemy, a cafe located in Worthing’s Guildbourne Centre, has announced it will close its doors permanently on Sunday, August 25th, citing unsustainable overhead costs as the primary reason. The decision comes less than a year after the business first opened.
In a statement shared on social media, the management of Alchemy expressed their regret at having to make the difficult decision to cease operations. They thanked their customers for their support over the past ten months but explained that rising expenses, coupled with the ongoing financial demands from the government, made it impossible to continue trading.
The closure of Alchemy adds to the growing list of small businesses across West Sussex facing similar challenges in the current economic climate, where many are struggling to balance increasing costs with viable profit margins.
