Worthing Celebrates Community Spirit with New Awards Initiative
The Worthing Community Awards, a new initiative spearheaded by Melanie Peters from Rocket Social Media, aims to spotlight individuals and organisations that have made a noteworthy impact on the local community.
These awards will recognise a range of contributions, from volunteering and fundraising efforts to the promotion of social causes and support for local businesses, celebrating those who have dedicated their time and efforts to enrich the community.
Nomination for the awards is open online, with a deadline set for May 10, and is eligible for UK residents within the postcodes BN11, BN12, BN13, BN14, and BN15.
The award ceremony, scheduled for June 13, promises an exclusive event at Rooms, featuring a fish and chip supper provided by The Chip Shop in Boxgrove.
With 14 different award categories, including those for bravery, charitable work, and various personal and professional contributions, the event not only aims to celebrate community spirit but also to support the Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice with any surplus sponsorship funds.
