Worthing Coffee Shop Burgled
A Worthing coffee shop has suffered its second burglary in a year, resulting in the theft of cash, food, and drink.
The Coffee House and Kitchen, located on Liverpool Road, was broken into during the early hours of June 10th.
Owner Simon Darcy Abbot expressed concern over the increasing crime rate in Worthing’s town centre. “Having now suffered two break-ins in the last year and the damage that has caused to us in losses and repair, it does beg the question about Worthing and the level of crime in the town centre,” he said. The independent business, known for its coffee, cake, breakfast, and lunch offerings, has been operating for 21 years.
A Sussex Police spokesman confirmed the incident and noted that an investigation is ongoing. They urged witnesses or anyone with relevant information or footage to contact police online or call 101, quoting serial 227 of June 10th.
