Worthing Enhances Cycling Infrastructure with New Bike Racks and Repair Stations
Worthing Borough Council has installed additional bike racks and repair stations across several public parks as part of an effort to encourage active travel within the town.
The initiative, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, aims to make cycling more accessible for both residents and visitors.
The newly installed bike racks are located in Northbrook Recreation Ground, Palatine Park, Tarring Recreation Ground, Manor Sports Ground, Dominion Road Open Space, Windsor Lawns, and Durrington Recreation Ground. In addition to these, two bicycle repair stations have been set up at strategic points, one at the Pavilion Theatre on Worthing Seafront and another on Findon Road, Findon.
A spokesperson from Worthing Borough Council highlighted that these installations are part of ongoing efforts to support cycling as a viable mode of transport within the area, particularly to the town centre, parks, and coastline. The council hopes these facilities will be beneficial to those living, working, and visiting Worthing.
